“One Nature”
Senior Exhibition displayed at Klemm Gallery in Adrian, Michigan from March 29th - April 9th, 2022.
Exhibition Statement
The world has faced wildfires, droughts, deforestation, and significant heat advisories in the last few years. These environmental issues are related to Climate Change. Climate Change is the long-term change of temperature and typical weather patterns. The cause of current Climate Change is mainly human activity. For over thirty years, Climate Change has become politicized and national front-page news where the two parties have different views. More Democrats believed climate change is a threat to our society than Republicans. Around four years ago, the Trump Administration pulled the United States out of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. During those four years, Climate Change crises have increased, not just in the United States, but also around the world.
The importance of addressing Climate Change properly will come to life through photographs promoting what happens when we focus on “One Nature” versus arguing about the reason for Climate Change. The objects featured in the pictures will show the perfection of nature when it’s nurtured. The vibrant colors and hues that are naturally formed. The shapes that inspire and the evoked feelings are showcased using large-scale photographs. The Action Wall features, in photography and text, nine simple actions you can take in your day-to-day life that will impact Climate Change. Posters of typography highlighting a variety of quotes from well-known activists, politicians, scientists, and celebrities who take action and support nature printed over a related illustration.
We only have one planet: Earth. We can’t continue to ignore what is happening in front of our eyes. We can’t keep thinking that this doesn’t impact us or someone else can fix the problem. We must take care of the issue now so that our future generations can enjoy the same beautiful Earth that we and generations before us have enjoyed. Hopefully, my show inspires people to act. To learn more about what each of us can do address Climate Change. We are all capable of doing something to help, no matter how small. My goal is for “One Nature” to help enlighten people’s perspectives. It is important for this generation to understand the concept of taking care of the nature around us to leave it intact for the next one. This is one area where we don’t have to debate nurture vs nature. We ARE one nature.

Action Wall
One simple action can have lasting impact on climate change. Not all actions are costly or require a lot of effort. The easiest change to make is one that has the least impact on your day-to-day life.

Brochure
Brochure was provided as a leave behind for visitors to take with them and further educate them on climate change and the one action they can take.
